{"id":10103,"date":"2010-09-01T11:29:58","date_gmt":"2010-09-01T18:29:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=10103"},"modified":"2010-09-01T11:35:55","modified_gmt":"2010-09-01T18:35:55","slug":"borg-queen-poster","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2010\/09\/borg-queen-poster\/","title":{"rendered":"Borg Queen Poster"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new Mondo poster, featuring artwork by<strong> Ken Taylor<\/strong>, will go on sale tomorrow and this poster features the Borg Queen (<strong>Alice Krige<\/strong>) from <em>Star Trek: First Contact<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>This Trek poster is the first Mondo poster to be taken from a <em>Star Trek<\/em> movie and not an original series episode.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/BorgQueen1-090110.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-10104\" title=\"BorgQueen1-090110\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/BorgQueen1-090110-150x150.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Mondo creative director <strong>Justin Ishmael<\/strong> explained why they chose a movie this time. &#8220;The first two releases in our <em>Star Trek <\/em>series focused on episodes from the original series,&#8221; he said. &#8220;<em>Space Seed<\/em> and <em>The Trouble With Tribbles<\/em> both featured iconic characters and creatures, so we decided to focus on one of the most recognized and loved of all <em>Star Trek <\/em>characters&#8230;the Borg. Not only are the Borg incredibly interesting and visually stunning, but they function as a cohesive unit with the queen as their leader.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em>The Trouble With Tribbles<\/em> poster sold out in only ten minutes, so fans wanting to get their hands on the <em>First Contact<\/em> Borg Queen poster need to move fast.
