Abrams, Roberto Orci<\/strong> and <strong>Alex Kurtzman<\/strong> discuss what may or may not happen in <em>Star Trek XII<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>As reported by <a href=\"http:\/\/trekmovie.com\/2010\/09\/11\/star-trek-sequel-update-abrams-orci-kurtzman-talk-khan-klingons-more\/\">TrekMovie.com<\/a>, Abrams spoke generally while Kurtzman and Orci described another possible choice for the possible villain.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/SFX091110.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-10208\" title=\"SFX091110\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/SFX091110.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"142\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As he did when <em>Star Trek XI<\/em> was being made, Abrams didn&#8217;t go into specifics concerning the sequel, but noted that there was much potential in the <em>Star Trek<\/em> universe from which to draw. &#8220;The universe that Roddenberry created was so vast,&#8221; he said. &#8220;And so it&#8217;s hard to say there\u2019s one particular thing that stands out as what the sequel must be. Which is on the one hand, a great opportunity. On the other hand it&#8217;s the greatest challenge \u2013 where do you go? What do you focus on? But I&#8217;m incredibly excited about the prospects.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Kurtzman and Orci have spoken in the past about the possibility of having Khan in the sequel, but spoke about other options. &#8220;Introducing a new villain in the sequel is tempting because we now have this incredible new sandbox to play in,&#8221; said Orci. &#8220;On the other hand, some fans really want to see Klingons and it&#8217;s hard not to listen to that.
