{"id":10693,"date":"2010-11-10T13:23:17","date_gmt":"2010-11-10T21:23:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=10693"},"modified":"2010-11-10T13:23:17","modified_gmt":"2010-11-10T21:23:17","slug":"a-klingon-christmas-carol","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2010\/11\/a-klingon-christmas-carol\/","title":{"rendered":"A Klingon Christmas Carol"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Klingon fans living in the Midwest will be able to see <em>A Klingon Christmas Carol <\/em>during this holiday season.<\/p>\n<p>The theater company that brought <em>Hamlet<\/em> to the stage in Klingon has turned its attentions to a Christmas classic, <em>A Christmas Carol<\/em>, and fans in or close enough to travel to Saint Paul, Minnesota or Chicago, Illinois will be able to experience <strong>Charles Dickens<\/strong>&#8216; classic in the original Klingon language (with English subtitles).<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/KlingonXmasCarol.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-10694\" title=\"KlingonXmasCarol\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/KlingonXmasCarol.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>In <em>A Klingon Christmas Carol<\/em>, Scrooge has no honor and can only find it after being visited by three ghosts, who include both an original series and a <em>Star Trek: The Next Generation<\/em> Klingon ghost. &#8220;Can three ghosts help him to become the true warrior he ought to be in time to save Tiny Tim from a horrible fate?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>As one might expect from Klingons, there will be plenty of &#8220;great fights and batleth tournaments.&#8221; A narrative analysis will be provided from the Vulcan Institute of Cultural Anthropology.<\/p>\n<p><em>A Klingon Christmas Carol<\/em> will run from November 26 through December 19.
