There will be five conventions, shows or appearances in February and March that feature Trek actors of interest to Star Trek<\/em> fans. This listing of conventions and shows features actors from all five of the televised series.<\/p>\n

Three conventions of note will take place in February. First up is TrekTrax Atlanta<\/a>, which bills itself as the “new Star Trek<\/em> convention in Atlanta.” TrekTrax will take place during President’s Day weekend, February 18-20, and will be held at the Holiday Inn Atlanta Perimeter.<\/p>\n

In attendance at TrekTrax Atlanta will be: Tim Russ<\/strong>, <\/strong> Klingon sisters Lursa and B’Etor (Barbara March<\/strong> and Gwynyth Walsh<\/strong>), Starship Farragut <\/em>actors, and several Star Trek authors, including Larry Nemecek, Diana Botsford, Brad Strickland <\/strong>and Dr. Ina Rae Hark<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On the same weekend, Farpoint<\/a> will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Timonium, Maryland. In attendance at Farpoint will be Bonita Friedericy<\/strong> (Star Trek: Enterprise<\/em>, Regeneration<\/em>), over a dozen Star Trek <\/em>authors, and actors from Starship Farragut<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Finishing up the month of February will be Vulcan Events<\/a>, which will take place in Tampa on February 25-27. Vulcan has a new pricing structure with two different price levels. The $195.00 weekend price includes autographs, reserved seating and other perks. A more economical weekend price, $40.00, will make this convention affordable in these tough economical times.<\/p>\n

Guests of interest to Star Trek fans include J.G. Hertzler <\/strong>and Robert O’Reilly<\/strong>, who will also appear briefly in full makeup and costume, Stephen Culp <\/strong>(Star Trek: Enterprise’s Major Hayes<\/em>), Lee Arenberg<\/strong> (who appeared on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager<\/em> and Enterprise<\/em>), Lee Meriwether<\/strong> (Original Series, That Which Survives<\/em>), Lolita Fatjo<\/strong> and Star Trek<\/em> author Peter David<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

March kicks off with The Official Star Trek Convention: The Celebration of the 45th Anniversary<\/a>. This convention will be held at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport and features plenty of guests of interest to Trek fans. In attendance will be: Leonard Nimoy, Nichelle Nichols, Gwynyth Walsh, Barbara March, Connor Trinneer, Nana Visitor, Dominic Keating, Rene Auberjonois, Eric Menyuk<\/strong> (Star Trek: The Next Generation<\/em>‘s The Traveler), and Richard Arnold<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

There will be plenty of events at The Official Star Trek Convention, including a photography seminar with Leonard Nimoy, and Rene Auberjonois and Nana Visitor performing a play together.<\/p>\n

The final convention in March will be MegaCon 2011<\/a> which will be held March 25-27 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. In attendance at MegaCon 2011 will be: William Shatner, Jonathan Frakes, Michael Dorn, Robin Curtis <\/strong>and Marina Sirtis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
