{"id":11348,"date":"2011-02-08T14:45:25","date_gmt":"2011-02-08T22:45:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=11348"},"modified":"2011-02-08T14:47:30","modified_gmt":"2011-02-08T22:47:30","slug":"star-trek-grooms-cake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2011\/02\/star-trek-grooms-cake\/","title":{"rendered":"Star Trek Groom&#8217;s Cake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For one wedding couple, a <em>Star Trek<\/em> &#8220;groom&#8217;s cake&#8221; puts the groom in the Captain&#8217;s chair on the Bridge of the USS Enterprise.<\/p>\n<p>Step aside, Captain Kirk, one (unnamed) groom is the star on a special <em>Star Trek<\/em> groom&#8217;s cake created by a talented cake maker, who goes by the online name of Cakesue.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/TrekCake1-020811.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11349\" title=\"TrekCake1-020811\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/TrekCake1-020811.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"192\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The cake is a recreation of the USS Enterprise Bridge; including consoles, displays, seating and several <em>Star Trek<\/em> characters (Spock, Uhura, Sulu and Chekov). The groom is seated in Kirk&#8217;s center seat in place of Kirk.<\/p>\n<p>Cakesue paid attention to detail when creating the cake and it shows.
