{"id":11728,"date":"2011-04-06T15:04:59","date_gmt":"2011-04-06T22:04:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=11728"},"modified":"2011-04-06T15:04:59","modified_gmt":"2011-04-06T22:04:59","slug":"netflix-trek-streaming-to-begin-this-summer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2011\/04\/netflix-trek-streaming-to-begin-this-summer\/","title":{"rendered":"Netflix Trek Streaming To Begin This Summer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There is good news for <em>Star Trek<\/em> fans today as word comes courtesy of <a href=\"http:\/\/trekmovie.com\/2011\/04\/06\/netflix-update-all-star-trek-series-to-begin-streaming-in-july\/\">TrekMovie<\/a> that <em>Star Trek <\/em>will begin streaming on Netflix in just a few short months.<\/p>\n<p>Back in February, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/2011\/02\/cbs-and-netflix-ink-deal\/\">TrekToday<\/a> announced that a two-year deal had been struck between CBS Corporation and Netflix, Inc. to stream select TV shows from CBS&#8217;s library, including<em> Star Trek<\/em> episodes from all five televised series.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/TrekLogo050510.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11729\" title=\"TrekLogo050510\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/TrekLogo050510.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"87\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Streaming will begin in July, with the original series, <em>Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Voyager<\/em> and <em>Star Trek: Enterprise<\/em> being offered. <em>Star Trek: Deep Space Nine<\/em> will begin streaming in October.<\/p>\n<p>Netflix offers unlimited streaming for $7.99 a month. For $8.99, users can stream episodes to their iPhone and iPod touch, after downloading the <a href=\"http:\/\/iTunes.com\/apps\/netflix\">free Netflix App<\/a> from the App store.
