There will be twelve conventions, shows or appearances in May and June that feature actors of interest to Star Trek<\/em> fans. This listing of conventions and shows features actors from all five of the televised series and several of the Star Trek <\/em>movies.<\/p>\n

May begins with the Motor City Comic Con 2011<\/a> which will be held at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan (Metro Detroit) from May 13-15. In attendance will be: Brent Spiner, George Takei, Kate Mulgrew<\/strong> and Lee Arenberg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Next in May will be Mobicon<\/a>, which will be held at the Asbury Hotel & Suites in Mobile, Alabama from May 20-22. In attendance will be Star Trek: Voyager<\/em>‘s Ethan Phillips<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Australian fans in Melbourne and Sydney can see Trek actors at OzTrek5<\/a>. OzTrek5 will be held on May 21 in Melbourne and May 22 in Sydney. In attendance will be Avery Brooks<\/strong> and Garrett Wang<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Also on May 21-22, another convention will be held, this one in the Dallas, Texas area. Dallas Comic Con<\/a>, which will take place at the Irving Convention center, will feature the original series’ Leonard Nimoy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Memorial Day weekend kicks off with Phoenix Comicon<\/a>. Held at the Phoenix Convention Center & Hyatt Regency, Phoenix Comicon will feature Leonard Nimoy<\/strong> and George Takei<\/strong>, both of whom will be appearing on Saturday the 28th.<\/p>\n

Finally, May wraps up with ComicPalooza<\/a>, which will be held May 27-29 in Houston, Texas. In attendance will be Marina Sirtis<\/strong> and Tony Todd<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In June, ConCarolinas 2011<\/a> will take place at the Charlotte Hilton University Place, in Charlotte, North Carolina, from June 3-5. Star Trek: Enterprise<\/em>‘s John Billingsley<\/strong> (Dr. Phlox) and Bonita Friedericy<\/strong> will be in attendance at Con Carolinas 2011.<\/p>\n

Next up is Creation Entertainment’s Official Star Trek Convention (Vancouver)<\/a> to be held at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, from June 10-12. In attendance will be: Nichelle Nichols, George Takei, Gwynyth Walsh, Barbara March, J.G. Hertzler, Robert O’Reilly, Nana Visitor, Rene Auberjonois, Dominic Keating, Connor Trinneer<\/strong> and Alan Scarfe<\/strong> (The Next Generation<\/em>‘s Admiral Mendek from Data’s Day<\/em> and Tokath from Birthright: Part 2<\/em>.)<\/p>\n

For Spanish Trek fans, Weekend Trek 2011 CIFICON<\/a> (site in Spanish), will be held June 17-19 in Barcelona. In attendance will be Andrew Robinson<\/strong> and Alexander Siddig<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Creation Entertainment’s Official Star Trek Convention (Parsippany)<\/a> will take place at the Parsippany Hilton in Parsippany, NJ from June 24-26. In attendance will be: Jonathan Frakes, Nichelle Nichols, Connor Trinneer, Barbara March, Gwynyth Walsh, Dominic Keating, Grace Lee Whitney, Nana Visitor, Bobby Clark<\/strong> (The Gorn) and Rene Auberjonois<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On the same weekend, Texas Comicon 2011<\/a> will be held at the San Antonio Event Center in San Antonio, Texas. Star Trek: The Next Generation<\/em>‘s Brent Spiner<\/strong> will be in attendance.<\/p>\n

Wrapping up June will be the Albuquerque Comic Expo<\/a>. The Albuquerque Comic Expo will be held June 24-26 at the Albuquerque Convention Center, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Trek actors in attendance include: Marina Sirtis<\/strong> and LeVar Burton<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In a peek ahead to July, Shore Leave 33<\/a>, which will be held July 8-10 at the Marriott Hunt Valley Inn in Hunt Valley, Maryland, has announced an additional guest of interest. In addition to the three Trek actors (John de Lancie, Sally Kellerman<\/strong> and Gary Lockwood<\/strong>), astronaut John Grunsfeld<\/strong> will be in attendance.<\/p>\n

Grunsfeld will be giving a talk entitled “House Call in Space: Servicing the Hubble Space Telescope<\/em>” during the course of the weekend, where he will detail his experiences in space, including multiple space walks. Grunsfeld has been a part of the crew of five space shuttle missions, and is also the Deputy Director of the Baltimore-based Space Telescope Science Institute.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
