{"id":12280,"date":"2011-06-13T12:14:37","date_gmt":"2011-06-13T19:14:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=12280"},"modified":"2011-06-15T03:44:01","modified_gmt":"2011-06-15T10:44:01","slug":"shatner-getting-pine-to-relax","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2011\/06\/shatner-getting-pine-to-relax\/","title":{"rendered":"Shatner: Getting Pine To Relax"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When interviewing <strong>Chris Pine<\/strong> for <em>The Captains<\/em> documentary, <strong>William Shatner<\/strong> came up with a unique way of putting the shy Pine at ease.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Captains<\/em>, a documentary on the actors who have played <em>Star Trek<\/em> captains over the years on the <em>Star Trek<\/em> televised series, includes <strong>Patrick Stewart, Avery Brooks, Kate Mulgrew, Scott Bakula <\/strong>and <strong>Chris Pine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/ShatnerPine061311.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-12281\" title=\"ShatnerPine061311\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/ShatnerPine061311.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"106\" \/><\/a>&#8220;He&#8217;s shy,&#8221; said Shatner, referring to Pine, who played Kirk in 2009&#8217;s <em>Star Trek <\/em>XI. &#8220;So the way I started the interview, I put out a table and chairs outside the Paramount gates, and arm-wrestled with him. That was the beginning of my interview with him.
