{"id":12334,"date":"2011-06-20T10:30:01","date_gmt":"2011-06-20T17:30:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=12334"},"modified":"2011-06-20T10:30:01","modified_gmt":"2011-06-20T17:30:01","slug":"no-shatner-in-star-trek-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2011\/06\/no-shatner-in-star-trek-2\/","title":{"rendered":"No Shatner in Star Trek 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to the man himself, <strong>William Shatner<\/strong> won&#8217;t be seen in next year&#8217;s <em>Star Trek 2<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/ShatnerStock1.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-12335\" title=\"ShatnerStock\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/ShatnerStock1.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"116\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Answering a fan question at the Calgary Expo in Canada, Shatner admitted that he would again not be in a <strong>J.J. Abrams<\/strong> Trek film. &#8220;I&#8217;ve been an acquaintance of J.J.,&#8221; he said. &#8220;But I&#8217;m afraid no, no, I will not be in <em>Star Trek 2<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Shatner is still keeping busy though, with books, documentaries and guest appearances on TV shows. His new book, <em>Shatner Rules: Your Key to Understanding the Shatnerverse and the World at Large<\/em>, will release in October.
