There will be nine conventions, shows or appearances in July and August that feature actors of interest to Star Trek<\/em> fans. This listing of conventions and shows features actors from all five of the televised series and several of the Star Trek<\/em> movies.<\/p>\n

July begins with Shore Leave 33<\/a>, which will be held July 8-10 at the Marriott Hunt Valley Inn in Hunt Valley, Maryland. In addition to the three Trek actors (John de Lancie, Sally Kellerman<\/strong> and Gary Lockwood<\/strong>), astronaut John Grunsfeld<\/strong> will be in attendance.<\/p>\n

Grunsfeld will be giving a talk entitled “House Call in Space: Servicing the Hubble Space Telescope” during the course of the weekend, where he will detail his experiences in space, including multiple space walks. Grunsfeld has been a part of the crew of five space shuttle missions, and is also the Deputy Director of the Baltimore-based Space Telescope Science Institute.<\/p>\n

Trek authors in attendance in Shore Leave will include: Lorraine Anderson, Christopher L. Bennett, Kirsten Beyer, Greg Cox, Ann C. Crispin, Peter A. David, Keith DeCandido, Kevin Dilmore, Michael Jan Friedman, Dave Galanter, David R. George, III, Allyn Gibson, Robert Greenberger, Kevin Lauderdale, William Leisner, David Mack, Marco Palmieri, Amy Sisson, Dayton Ward, Scott Pearson, Glenn Hauman, Howard Weinstein, Lawrence M. Schoen, Mike W. Barr, Paul Simpson, Richard C. White<\/strong> and Rigel Ailur.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Polaris25<\/a> will be held from July 15-17 at the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel, in Richmond Hill, Ontario. In attendance will be Star Trek: Deep Space Nine<\/em>‘s Armin Shimerman<\/strong> and Trek author Keith R.A. DeCandido<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On the same weekend, the Creation Entertainment Official Star Trek Convention in Boston<\/a> will be held at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge in Boston. In attendance will be William Shatner, Connor Trinneer, Gwynyth Walsh, Barbara March, Dominic Keating, J.G. Hertzler, Max Grodenchik, Robert O’Reilly, Ethan Phillips, Jeffrey Combs, Casey Biggs <\/strong>and Vaughn Armstrong<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The popular San Diego Comic Con<\/a> will make its yearly appearance at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego from July 21-24.<\/p>\n

Cyphan 2<\/a> will take place at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, Ill, from July 29-31. Star Trek: Voyager<\/em>‘s Robert Picardo<\/strong> and Deep Space Nine<\/em>‘s Chase Masterson<\/strong> will be at Cyphan 2.<\/p>\n

Wrapping up July will be Creation Entertainment Official Star Trek Convention – Nashville<\/a>, to be held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort July 29-31. In attendance, will be William Shatner, Connor Trinneer, Gwynyth Walsh, Barbara March, J.G. Hertzler, Max Grodenchik, Robert O’Reilly, Ethan Phillips, Jeffrey Combs, Casey Biggs<\/strong> and Vaughn Armstrong<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

August kicks off with The Official Star Trek Convention Las Vegas<\/a>, which will be held from August 11-14 at the Rio Suites Hotel in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

Plenty of Trek actors will be in attendance at The Official Star Trek<\/em> Convention Las Vegas including: William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, Sir Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner, Kate Mulgrew, George Takei, John Cho, Grace Lee Whitney, James Darren, Nichelle Nichols, David Warner<\/strong> (Chancellor Gorkon), Terry Farrell, Walter Koenig, Eugene “Rod” Roddenberry, Jonathan Frakes, Dominic Keating, John de Lancie, Connor Trinneer, Gwynyth Walsh, Barbara March, J.G. Also on August 11-14, the Wizard World Chicago Comic Con<\/a> will be held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. In attendance will be: Sir Patrick Stewart, LeVar Burton, Christopher Lloyd<\/strong>, and Daniel Stewart<\/strong> (The Inner Light<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Wrapping up August will be FanExpo Canada<\/a>, which will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from August 25-28.
