{"id":12645,"date":"2011-08-08T10:17:11","date_gmt":"2011-08-08T17:17:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=12645"},"modified":"2011-08-08T10:17:11","modified_gmt":"2011-08-08T17:17:11","slug":"animated-trek-by-kurtzman-and-orci","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2011\/08\/animated-trek-by-kurtzman-and-orci\/","title":{"rendered":"Animated Trek By Kurtzman And Orci?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Back in May, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/2011\/05\/how-about-new-animated-trek\/\">TrekToday<\/a> reported that <strong>Roberto Orci<\/strong> was interested in helping to create a new animated <em>Star Trek<\/em> series, and this weekend, word comes that both he and <em>Star Trek XI<\/em> Co-writer\/producer <strong>Alex Kurtzman<\/strong> are serious about doing so.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/KurtzmanOrci012220101.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-12646\" title=\"KurtzmanOrci01222010\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/KurtzmanOrci012220101.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"154\" \/><\/a>Appearing on the <em>My Geek Time<\/em> radio show, the two revealed that they are seriously investigating the possibility of making the animated <em>Star Trek<\/em>. &#8220;We have asked about [an animated <em><\/em><em>Star Trek<\/em> series],&#8221; said Orci. &#8220;We have asked what the rights are and who owns it and what are the possibilities. It is a very early \u2013 kind of &#8216;is this a possibility?&#8217; and we are waiting to hear back.
