{"id":12824,"date":"2011-09-01T12:38:50","date_gmt":"2011-09-01T19:38:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=12824"},"modified":"2011-09-01T12:38:50","modified_gmt":"2011-09-01T19:38:50","slug":"revell-germany-to-develop-ship-model-kits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2011\/09\/revell-germany-to-develop-ship-model-kits\/","title":{"rendered":"Revell Germany To Develop Ship Model Kits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For European fans, beginning next month, several new <em>Star Trek<\/em> models will be available to build, courtesy of Revell Germany.<\/p>\n<p>Revell Germany has released kits based on <em>Star Trek: Voyager<\/em> and will now turn its attention to two original series ships.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/USSEnterpriseModel090111.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-12825\" title=\"USSEnterpriseModel090111\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/USSEnterpriseModel090111.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a>The new model kits will be based on the USS Enterprise NCC-1701, and the Klingon Bird of Prey. &#8220;We decided to introduce models of a series everybody would know,&#8221; said Revell Germany Project Manager <strong>Juegen Zurnieden<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Production on the ships began in March. &#8220;Right now, we are finishing development of the boxes for the new models,&#8221; said Zurnieden. &#8220;We are convinced that <em>Star Trek<\/em> fans will find these models exciting, and we&#8217;re happy to provide an insight into the development of our <em>Star Trek<\/em> kits.
