{"id":13046,"date":"2011-10-07T10:55:42","date_gmt":"2011-10-07T17:55:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=13046"},"modified":"2011-10-07T10:55:42","modified_gmt":"2011-10-07T17:55:42","slug":"star-trek-online-adds-new-currency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2011\/10\/star-trek-online-adds-new-currency\/","title":{"rendered":"Star Trek Online Adds New Currency"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For fans playing <em>Star Trek: Online<\/em>, in addition to Energy Credits, there is now another currency to help them obtain items in the game.<\/p>\n<p>Energy Credits are &#8220;intended for the normal expenses of operating a starship, such as getting standard gear, and for trading between captains on the exchange.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/111909CSTO.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-13047\" title=\"111909CSTO\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/111909CSTO.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"176\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a>The new currency is Dilithium, which is &#8220;intended for getting access to new starships and the high-quality gear. Dilithium is not tradable.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Dilithium will come in two forms: Dilithium Ore and Refined Dilithium. Dilithium One is a raw form of the mineral. Refined Dilithium &#8220;is the form that can be used as currency.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Dilithium Ore, which can be refined into the second type, can be obtained by: exploration, daily missions, duty officer assignments, events, PvP and special task force missions.<\/p>\n<p>Refined Dilithium can be earned directly, when a character is promoted to a new rank.
