{"id":13876,"date":"2012-01-04T12:26:07","date_gmt":"2012-01-04T20:26:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=13876"},"modified":"2012-01-04T12:26:08","modified_gmt":"2012-01-04T20:26:08","slug":"clarke-joins-trek-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2012\/01\/clarke-joins-trek-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Clarke Joins Trek 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>British actor <strong>Noel Clarke<\/strong>, known to <em>Doctor Who<\/em> fans for his role as Mickey Smith on the BBC series, has been signed for <em>Star Trek 2<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/2012\/01\/clarke-joins-trek-2\/clarkenoel010412\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-13879\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-13879\" title=\"ClarkeNoel010412\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/ClarkeNoel010412.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"100\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Clarke will be portraying a &#8220;family man with a wife and young daughter,&#8221; and is the third newcomer to be signed for the sequel, the other two being <strong>Alice Eve <\/strong>and<strong> Peter Weller<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In 2009, Clarke received a BAFTA award in the Orange Rising Star Award.
