September will be a busy month when it comes to Star Trek<\/em> comics.<\/p>\n IDW Publishing has announced its Star Trek<\/em> comics for September 2012 and five different titles will be offered for eager Trek comic fans.<\/p>\n The titles include: Star Trek #13 The Redshirt’s Tale, Star Trek: Romulans Treasury Edition, Star Trek: The Next Generation Hive #1, Star Trek: The Next Generation\/Doctor Who: Assimilation2 #5<\/em>, and Star Trek: The Next Generation\/Doctor Who: Assimilation2, Vol. 1<\/em>.<\/p>\n In Star Trek #13 The Redshirt’s Tale<\/em>, the story is told from the point of view of a redshirt on the Enterprise. Written by Mike Johnson<\/strong>, Star Trek #13<\/em> features art by Stephen Molnar<\/strong> and a cover by Tim Bradstreet<\/strong>. There will be variant covers, and Star Trek #13<\/em> will run thirty-two pages in length and cost #$3.99.<\/p>\n Next up will be Star Trek: Romulans Treasury Editio<\/em>n, which features three original series stories featuring the best aliens in the Trekverse. Written by and featuring art and cover by John Byrne<\/strong>, Star Trek: Romulans Treasury Edition<\/em> will run seventy-two pages in length and sell for $9.99.<\/p>\n The Borg return in Star Trek: The Next Generation Hive #1<\/em>, the first part of a four-part mini-series. In Hive #1<\/em>, the Borg and their king, Locutus, have assimilated the entire galaxy. The only hope for a non-Borg future can be found in the past, courtesy of Captain Picard and crew.<\/p>\n Written by Brannon Braga<\/strong> and Terry Matalas<\/strong>, with art by Joe Corroney<\/strong>, the thirty-two page long issue will cost $3.99. A “Famous Borg in History” variant cover by David Messina<\/strong> will be available in addition to the standard cover.<\/p>\n Another TNG\/Doctor Who<\/em> comic will debut this month, Star Trek: The Next Generation\/Doctor Who: Assimilation2 #5<\/em>. In this issue, Picard is “forced to make the toughest decision of his life,” with the Doctor “trying to convince him to make the right choice.”<\/p>\n Written by Scott Tipton, Tony Lee<\/strong> and David Tipton<\/strong>, with art and cover by J.K.
