A new Facebook<\/em> app lets Star Trek: The Next Generation<\/em> fans put themselves into the action.<\/p>\n

The Transporter Photo App permits fans to beam into one of six different scenes from The Next Generation<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Fans may insert themselves into a high-def beaming scene, Geordi in the Captain’s chair, Riker firing a phaser with Picard, Deanna Troi on the Bridge, Q or as a Ferengi.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to give fans a fun way to see how remarkable images from the newly remastered Season One Blu-ray looked, while also providing them a chance to interact with the show, and virally share with their friends,” said Ken Ross<\/strong>, executive vice president and general manager of CBS Home Entertainment. “Furthermore, the Transporter Photo App also acts like a mini-site for them to view episodic scenes and photos, as well as striking clips from before and after the high-definition process.”<\/p>\n
