Star Trek 2<\/em>‘s Chris Pine<\/strong> will be starring in the untitled Jack Ryan reboot set to be released next year.<\/p>\n

The main cast has finally been set and the first rebooted Jack Ryan film will be released in the fourth quarter of 2013.<\/p>\n

Jack Ryan is a CIA analyst created by author Tom Clancy<\/strong>, and he was last seen in 2002’s The Sum of All Fears<\/em>. Ryan has been played in the past by Alec Baldwin, Harrison, Ford<\/strong> and Ben Affleck<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Paramount waited until Pine was finished with Star Trek 2<\/em> before going ahead with the project. Joining Pine will be Keira Knightley<\/strong> as Ryan’s love interest, Kevin Costner<\/strong>, and Kenneth Branagh<\/strong> as a Russian villain. Branagh will also direct the movie.<\/p>\n

According to Branagh, the movie is “an original story that allows us to understand how Jack Ryan develops into a CIA analyst, before joining, and perhaps even joining, the CIA. It\u2019s a very contemporary action thriller set in the here and now.”<\/p>\n
