Herman Zimmerman<\/strong>, best-known to Star Trek<\/em> fans for his work on several Star Trek<\/em> television series as well as half a dozen Star Trek<\/em> films, will receive an achievement award.<\/p>\n

The award will be presented to Zimmerman early next year.<\/p>\n

Nominated for four Emmys for his work, Zimmerman will be receiving the Art Director Guild’s Lifetime Achievement Award<\/em> at the Guild’s 17th Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards on February 2, 2013.<\/p>\n

Beginning his Trek career in 1987 on The Next Generation<\/em> as Production Designer and Original Set Designer, Zimmerman worked on Deep Space Nine<\/em> and Enterprise<\/em>, as well as Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, Star Trek: Generations, Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Insurrection<\/em>, and Star Trek: Nemesis<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Zimmerman also co-authored the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Technical Manual<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
