Beginning next month, a sneak peek of the beginning of Star Trek Into Darkness<\/em> will be released.<\/p>\n

The sneak peek will take place in approximately five hundred IMAX 3D theaters and the footage shown will be exclusively in IMAX 3D.<\/p>\n

On December 14, fans will be able to see the first nine minutes of Star Trek Into Darkness<\/em>. This will mark “the first time exclusive footage has played in IMAX 3D and only the third time a first-look will be released in IMAX.”<\/p>\n

“Our longtime partners J.J. Abrams, Bryan Burk<\/strong> and the Bad Robot team have really hit it out of the park \u2013 the footage is absolutely incredible,” said Greg Foster<\/strong>, Chairman and President, IMAX Filmed Entertainment. “Their use of the IMAX Camera and canvas is sure to impress current and future Star Trek<\/em> fans alike, and we\u2019re thrilled to once again work with our friends at Paramount Pictures to offer this extended ‘first look’ at this highly anticipated summer blockbuster.”<\/p>\n

The footage will be seen in front of the IMAX presentation of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey<\/em>.<\/p>\n
