For fans waiting for the third season of Star Trek: The Next Generation<\/em> in Blu-ray, mark your calendars for April 30th.<\/p>\n

In addition to TNG<\/em> S3, another Trek Blu-ray release will happen on that date when Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Best of Both Worlds<\/em> is offered.<\/p>\n

Season Three includes all twenty-six third season episodes, including the acclaimed Yesterday’s Enterprise, Sarek<\/em>, and The Best of Both Worlds, Part 1<\/em>. Extras include audio commentaries, the Inside the Writers’ Room<\/em> featurette, a blooper reel and Resistance is Futile: Assimilating the Next Generation<\/em>, a multi-part documentary that “examines the making of Season Three.”<\/p>\n

Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Best of Both Worlds<\/em> takes the two-part episode and “re-edits it into a ninety-minute feature-length experience.” Extras for Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Best of Both Worlds<\/em> includes audio commentary, a gag reel, and Regeneration: Engaging the Borg<\/em>, which tells the story of the creation of the Borg and includes interviews with cast, writers, producers and more.<\/p>\n
