{"id":25127,"date":"2013-04-26T09:56:22","date_gmt":"2013-04-26T16:56:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=25127"},"modified":"2013-04-26T09:56:22","modified_gmt":"2013-04-26T16:56:22","slug":"new-shatner-album-in-progress","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2013\/04\/new-shatner-album-in-progress\/","title":{"rendered":"New Shatner Album In Progress"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-25133\" title=\"ShatnerModernKirk021612\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/ShatnerModernKirk021612.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"580\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A new music project from<strong> William Shatner<\/strong> will include music from<strong> Billy Sherwood<\/strong>, formerly of the rock bank <em>Yes<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Shatner&#8217;s last music project was 2011&#8217;s <em>Seeking Major Tom<\/em>, which also included a <em>Yes<\/em> alumnus.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->In this latest project (as-yet-unnamed), Shatner will be writing the lyrics and Sherwood will provide the music.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He has so many great lyrical ideas already; it&#8217;s amazing,&#8221; said Sherwood, who found Shatner&#8217;s lyrics to be &#8220;really good, deep and spiritual.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Sherwood enjoyed collaborating with Shatner. &#8220;We sketched out the framework of the entire record in one sitting,&#8221; he said. &#8220;It&#8217;s going to be a very unique and artistic venture.
