Roberto Orci<\/strong> responded to a statement by Zachary Quinto<\/strong> regarding the status of Star Trek 3<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In his comments, Quinto claimed that “Star Trek 3<\/em> should be filming…next year.” Quinto added that he expected J.J. Abrams<\/strong> to direct the third rebooted Trekverse film.<\/p>\n

“I’d love to have J.J. back,” said Orci. “We’re still talking to Paramount about what the scheduling might be and if we can all do it together again, but yeah I read that too and I was like, ‘Whoa, does [Quinto] know something I don’t? I’d better call him.’ He owes me a call.”<\/p>\n

It is thought that Abrams would not be directing Star Trek 3<\/em> as he would be tied up directing Star Wars: Episode VII<\/em>, which is expected to begin production next year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
