The restored original series Shuttlecraft Galileo will be unveiled tomorrow.<\/p>\n

The restoration project, led by Adam Schneider<\/strong>, took a year to complete.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow, the newly-restored Shuttlecraft Galileo will be seen in its new home at the Space Center Houston.<\/p>\n

“If somebody told me when I was a little kid that I’d be donating a spaceship to NASA,” said Schneider, “I would have said that they were kidding. How does it feel? It feels amazing. It almost feels like it’s all downhill from here because this is such a high. It feels truly like a success.”<\/p>\n

A public event at Space Center Houston will be held tomorrow to debut the restored prop which will include a celebrity panel who will discuss the influence of science fiction on space exploration. Celebrity guests will include: Don Marshall<\/strong> (Lt. Boma of The Galileo Seven<\/em>), Robert Picardo, Sylvester McCoy<\/strong> (Doctor Who<\/em>), Jason Carter<\/strong> (Babylon 5<\/em>), Adrienne Wilkinson<\/strong> (Star Wars: The Force Unleashed<\/em>), Marshall Teague<\/strong> (Deep Space Nine, Voyager<\/em>), Tracy Scoggins<\/strong> (Babylon 5<\/em>), and Gil Gerard<\/strong> (Buck Rogers in the 25th Century<\/em>).<\/p>\n
