If Bryan Fuller<\/strong> had his way, the next Star Trek<\/em> would be appearing on television.<\/p>\n Fuller spoke about his desire to see Trek on television, and what he would like to see, while doing publicity for Hannibal<\/em>, which he created and which will begin its second season next year.<\/p>\n “I expressed interest that I would love to do a Star Trek<\/em> TV show,” said Fuller. “Again, that was my very first start, on Deep Space Nine <\/em>and Voyager<\/em>. That was my first job as a writer in Hollywood. So having spent four years on staff and another year of freelancing before that on Star Trek<\/em>, it’s a very near and dear property to my heart, and also a philosophy. I would love to create a Star Trek<\/em> show, so that’s on my dream docket.”<\/p>\n If Fuller could do Star Trek<\/em>, what does he have in mind? “I think there\u2019s something very exciting about the new J.J. Abrams<\/strong>-verse, and there’s also kind of an interesting reinvention,” he said. “How would The Next Generation<\/em> evolve from that? Where would that be? Where would that go? But there’s also…Star Trek<\/em> is such a big universe, and there are so many places to go with it. I have a very specific idea that I would love to do.
