Star Trek: Voyager<\/em>‘s Tim Russ<\/strong> has joined the cast of Vitals<\/em>, a Saw<\/em>-like horror film.<\/p>\n

Russ will portray “The Surgeon,” in the film, which will also feature Charlene Amoia<\/strong> (How I Met Your Mother<\/em>), Christopher Showerman<\/strong> (George of the Jungle 2<\/em>), Claudia Wells<\/strong> (Back to the Future<\/em>), and Sachin Metha<\/strong> (The Advocate<\/em>). Marc Morgenstern<\/em> will direct the film.<\/p>\n

In Vitals,<\/em> “An unassuming electrician wakes up in an abandoned Mexican motel room in a tub of ice and his kidney missing. It\u2019s only a matter of time before he finds his wife in the adjacent room waiting to be the next victim to a horrible organ harvesting organization. Now they must use each other\u2019s wits and skills to escape before their captors return and their dark secrets are revealed.”<\/p>\n

Vitals<\/em> “plays off of several base fears: foreign abduction, physical violation, [and] abandonment.”<\/p>\n

Vitals<\/em> begins filming in Los Angeles next month. Indiego fundraising for the film is currently in progress here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
