Joseph Ruskin<\/strong>, a character actor with half-a-dozen appearances in Star Trek<\/em> episodes, has passed away.<\/p>\n The actor, aged eighty-nine, died of natural causes.<\/p>\n Born Joseph Schlafman<\/strong> in Haverhill, Massachusetts, Ruskin was a World War II Navy veteran. He studied drama at what is now Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pa.<\/p>\n Ruskin appeared in the original series The Gamesters of Triskelion<\/em> (Galt); Deep Space Nine<\/em> Episodes The House of Quark<\/em>, and Looking for par’Mach in All the Wrong Places<\/em> (Tumek), Improbable Cause<\/em>; Star Trek: Voyager: Gravity<\/em>; and in Star Trek: Enterprise:<\/em> Broken Bow<\/em>.
