Star Trek into Darkness<\/em>‘ John Cho<\/strong> has signed for Selfie<\/em>, a new comedy pilot.<\/p>\n

Selfie<\/em> is a “modern take on My Fair Lady<\/em>.”<\/p>\n

In Selfie<\/em>, Eliza Dooley (Karen Gillan<\/strong>), a “self-obsessed twenty-something…is more concerned with ‘likes’ than being liked. After suffering a public and humiliating breakup, she becomes the subject of a viral video and suddenly has more social media ‘followers’ than she ever imagined — but for all the wrong reasons. She then enlists the help of a marketing expert at her company to help repair her tarnished image.”<\/p>\n

Cho will play the “self-assured, successful marketing expert Henry, who is a different breed from today’s social media-addicted society.” Henry decides to “re-market co-worker Eliza” as a challenge.<\/p>\n

The pilot will be written by Emily Kapnek<\/strong>, who will also executive produce the Warner Bros. Television<\/em> project. Selfie<\/em> will be directed by Julia Anne Robinson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
