Spock and Bones must work together to save Captain Kirk from a fate worse than death &#8212; a fate tied to the earliest days of humanity&#8217;s journey to the stars &#8212; when they wind up stranded on an alien world and cut off from the Enterprise.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Written by <strong>Mike Johnson<\/strong>, and overseen by <strong>Roberto Orci<\/strong>, <em>Star Trek #34<\/em> features art and a cover by <strong>Joe Corroney<\/strong>. There is also a variant cover by <strong>Craig Rousseau<\/strong> for <em>IDW<\/em> subscribers that features the main characters as<em> Angry Birds<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Star Trek #34<\/em> is thirty-two pages in length, and will sell for $3.99.<\/p>\n<p><em>Star Trek: Harlan Ellison\u2019s City on the Edge of Forever #1<\/em> is written by <strong>Harlan Ellison, Scott Tipton<\/strong>, and<strong> David Tipton<\/strong>, with art <strong>by J.K. Woodward<\/strong>, and a cover by <strong>Juan Ortiz<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The issue is a &#8220;visual presentation of the much-discussed, unrevised, unadulterated version of Harlan Ellison\u2019s <em>Star Trek<\/em> teleplay script, <em>The City on the Edge of Forever<\/em>.&#8221; <em>In City on the Edge of Forever #1,<\/em> &#8220;fans will finally be able to see the story as Ellison originally intended.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Thirty-two pages in length, <em>Star Trek: Harlan Ellison\u2019s City on the Edge of Forever #1<\/em> will cost $3.99. <em>IDW<\/em> subscribers and <em>Federation<\/em> members will also be able to obtain a special variant cover by <strong>Paul Shipper<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two new IDW Publishing Star Trek comics will arrive in stores this June.
