The captain and crew of the USS Zumwalt<\/em> received a letter from William Shatner<\/strong> and his wife.<\/p>\n

The USS Zumwalt<\/em> is captained by none other than James Kirk<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“Unfortunately I can’t be with you when your vessel is commissioned and obviously your captain, Captain Kirk, is dear to my heart,” said Shatner. “So forgive me for not attending; my schedule won’t allow me, but know that you are in our thoughts \u2014 Mr. & Mrs. Shatner \u2014 and that we bless you and hope that you have a safe journey wherever your ship takes you.”<\/p>\n

The USS Zumwalt<\/em> was commissioned last Saturday.<\/p>\n
