Several special awards were announced for the 40th Annual Saturn Awards<\/em>.<\/p>\n Three of the four special awards include names familiar to Star Trek<\/em> fans.<\/p>\n Bryan Fuller<\/strong>, best-known to Trek fans for his writing on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine<\/em>, and Star Trek: Voyager<\/em>, will be presented with the Dan Curtis Legacy Award<\/em>, which is given annually in honor of Producer\/Director Dan Curtis<\/strong> (Dark Shadows, The Night Stalker<\/em>).<\/p>\n Actor Malcolm McDowell<\/strong>, Star Trek: Generation<\/em>‘s Soran, will receive a Life Career Award<\/em>.<\/p>\n Author Marc Cushman<\/strong> wrote the Sarek<\/em> episode for The Next Generation<\/em>. Two volumes of his latest work, These are the Voyages – TOS<\/em>, have been published with one more volume to follow.
