The nominations for the 30th Annual Television Critics Association (TCA) Awards<\/em> have been announced.<\/p>\n Amongst the nominees are several Star Trek<\/em>-related names and shows.<\/p>\n The original series is up for a Heritage Award,<\/em> to be given to “one longstanding program that has had a major cultural or social impact.” The other four nominees include: Lost, Saturday Night Live, South Park<\/em>, and Twin Peaks<\/em>.<\/p>\n William Shatner<\/strong> was nominated for the Career Achievement Award,<\/em> given to “an individual who has influenced television through his or her work on the small screen.” He will go up against Mark Burnett, James Burrows, Valerie Harper<\/strong>, and Jay Leno<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Orange is the New Black<\/em>, which co-stars Star Trek: Voyager<\/em>‘s Kate Mulgrew,<\/strong> is up for both Outstanding New Program<\/em>, and Program of the Year<\/em>. Another program up for Outstanding New Program <\/em>is Sleepy Hollow<\/em>, produced by Roberto Orci <\/strong>and Alex Kurtzman<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Cosmos<\/em>, co-produced by Brannon Braga<\/strong>, was nominated for Outstanding Achievement in News and Information.<\/em><\/p>\n The winners of the 30th Annual TCA Awards<\/em> will be announced at an invitation-only presentation on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The nominations for the 30th Annual Television Critics Association (TCA) Awards have been announced.
