Star Trek into Darkness<\/em>‘ John Cho<\/strong> will be appearing in ABC’s Selfie<\/em> comedy this autumn.<\/p>\n Selfie<\/em> is a “modern take” on My Fair Lady<\/em>.<\/p>\n In Selfie<\/em>, Eliza Dooley (Karen Gillan<\/strong>), a \u201cself-obsessed twenty-something\u2026is more concerned with ‘likes’ than being liked. After suffering a public and humiliating breakup, she becomes the subject of a viral video and suddenly has more social media ‘followers’ than she ever imagined \u2014 but for all the wrong reasons. She then enlists the help of a marketing expert at her company to help repair her tarnished image. Cho plays the ‘self-assured, successful marketing expert Henry, who is a different breed from today’s social media-addicted society.’ Henry decides to ‘re-market’ co-worker Eliza as a challenge.<\/p>\n Cho and cast have already shot the pilot episode, and Cho explained Henry’s role in Selfie<\/em>. “[Eliza] hires Henry to make her respectable, to teach her how to be a real person, sort of,” he said. “It starts from there. I’m not sure where we’ll go in the season, but it’s been fun!<\/p>\n “[Henry’s] an observer and has seen it but is tired of people like this, but he sees something special in her and comes to realize that she is special.
