Zachary Quinto<\/strong> has signed on for a role in Michael<\/em>, the story of an “ex-gay activist.”<\/p>\n

Michael<\/em> portrays the life of Michael Glatze<\/em>, who renounced his homosexuality later in life and married a woman.<\/p>\n

The lead role will be played by James Franco<\/strong>, with Quinto playing his ex-boyfriend. Emma Roberts<\/strong> plays Michael’s love interest.<\/p>\n

“\u201cThis isn\u2019t just a story about an ‘ex-gay,’ said Director Justin Kelly<\/strong>. “It’s actually a very relatable story about the power of belief and the desire to belong.”<\/p>\n

“I’m excited that everyone involved in this project is intent on telling a story that captures the full breadth of Michael’s unusual life, from the inspiring gay leader I knew when I was young to the Christian pastor he is today,” said Benoit Denizet-Lewis<\/strong>, who wrote “My Ex-Gay Friend,<\/em>” an article about Glatze.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
