Shore Leave 36<\/em> takes place next weekend, August 1-3, and although pre-registration is closed, tickets still remain for the event and can be purchased at the door.<\/p>\n Trek guest stars this year include Star Trek: Voyager<\/em>‘s Robert Picardo <\/strong>and Michael Welch<\/strong> (Star Trek: Insurrection<\/em>). Leonard Nimoy<\/strong> will be making a guest appearance via Skype<\/em>. The eighty-three-year-old Nimoy is only doing convention appearances via Skype<\/em> now, and his Skype<\/em> appearance at Away Mission<\/em> in Tampa earlier this year was very well-received by attendees.<\/p>\n Other media guest stars include Richard Dean Anderson<\/strong> (MacGyver, Stargate SG-1<\/em>), Teryl Rothery<\/strong> (Stargate, Caprica<\/em>), Eve Myles<\/strong> (Torchwood, Dr. Who<\/em>), Silas Weir Mitchell<\/strong> (Grimm, 24<\/em>), and Star Trek Seekers<\/em> Cover Artist Rob Caswell<\/strong>.<\/p>\n For fans of Star Trek l<\/em>iterature, Shore Leave 36<\/em> is the place to be. This year\u2019s list of author guests includes: Kevin Dilmore, Michael Jan Friedman, Dave Galanter, Robert Greenberger, Glenn Hauman, Jim Johnson, Jeffrey Lang, William Leisner, David Mack, Steven H Wilson, Marco Palmieri, Aaron Rosenberg, Melissa Scott, Kevin G Summers, Dayton Ward, Howard Weinstein<\/strong>, and Richard C White<\/strong>. Fans can get their books autographed in the Meet the Pros event.<\/p>\n Five books will debut at Shore Leave 36<\/em>; Star Trek Seekers<\/em> (Ward\/Dilmore\/Mack<\/strong> and Caswell<\/strong>), New Lives and New Civilizations: Exploring Star Trek Comics<\/em> (DeCandido\/Dilmore\/Greenberger\/Ward<\/strong>), Stargate Atlantis: Unascended<\/em> (Graham\/Griswold<\/strong>), Tales of the Crimson Keep<\/em> (Crazy 8 Press<\/em> Production: Friedman\/David\/Colchamior\/ Weinstein\/Rosenberg\/Hauman\/Greenberger\/Dilmore<\/strong>), and Somewhere in the Middle of Eternity<\/em> (Corcoran\/Headlee\/Roth\/Reilly\/Wilson\/Woods<\/strong>).<\/p>\n Tickets remaining include a limited number of full-weekend tickets, as well as single day tickets for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, which will be sold at the door.
