Star Trek<\/em> fans Mark Restucci<\/strong>, 47, and Amy Campbell<\/strong>, 49, are the first Trek fans to ever tie the knot at the annual Official Star Trek Convention<\/em> held in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n The couple was married August 1, in a ceremony that recreated the Next Generation<\/em> wedding of Riker and Troi.<\/p>\n Last autumn, Restucci popped the question on a life-sized mock-up of an Enterprise Bridge at the Arizona State Fair<\/em>. The two have been life-long Trek fans, and met at the Vegas Star Trek<\/em> convention in 2012.<\/p>\n Upon hearing of their engagement last autumn, a friend spoke to convention organizers who offered to host the wedding as part of their scheduled convention activities.<\/p>\n The bride wore a pink wedding dress, and the groom wore a white jacket. Members of the wedding party wore dress uniforms. Instead of floral bouquets, bridesmaids carried Tribbles.<\/p>\n The ceremony was non-denominational. “It’s more of a Starfleet thing,” said Campbell. “Star Trek<\/em> means everything to us.
