Tonight, Star Trek into Darkness<\/em>‘ John Cho<\/strong> will be appearing in the pilot for Selfie<\/em>.<\/p>\n Selfie<\/em> is a modern remake of Pygmalion<\/em>.<\/p>\n In Selfie<\/em>, Eliza Dooley (Karen Gillan<\/strong>), a “self-obsessed twenty-something…is more concerned with ‘likes’ than being liked. After suffering a public and humiliating breakup, she becomes the subject of a viral video and suddenly has more social media ‘followers’ than she ever imagined \u2014 but for all the wrong reasons. She then enlists the help of a marketing expert at her company to help repair her tarnished image. Cho plays the \u2018self-assured, successful marketing expert Henry, who is a different breed from today\u2019s social media-addicted society.’ Henry decides to ‘re-market’ co-worker Eliza as a challenge.<\/p>\n Cho spoke about playing the Henry Higgins-type character on the series. “[Higgins] was a linguistics expert, and I was thinking how as an immigrant, I kind of have that,” he said. “When you’re not born in this country, you tend to study how the natives talk and a little bit like Gatsby or something.
