In January, actors from all five of the Star Trek<\/em> televised series will take part in a War of the Worlds<\/em> fundraiser at the Acme Theater<\/em> in Hollywood.<\/p>\n The one-night only performance will raise funds for Sci-Fest LA: The Los Angeles Science Fiction One-Act Play Festival<\/em>.<\/p>\n “Wil Wheaton<\/strong> will headline as ‘Orson Welles<\/strong>‘ alongside fellow Star Trek<\/em> alumni Walter Koenig, Michael Dorn, Ren\u00e9 Auberjonois, Armin Shimerman, Tim Russ<\/strong>, and Linda Park<\/strong>. Also appearing: Dean Haglund<\/strong> (The X-Files<\/em>) and a special prerecorded cameo appearance by comic book legend, Stan Lee<\/strong>. The performance will be produced by Sci-Fest LA<\/em> and directed by Jim Fall<\/strong>.<\/p>\n “The idea for the fundraiser came from Sci-Fest LA<\/em> co-producer, actor David Dean Bottrell<\/strong> (Boston Legal<\/em>).’Even after seventy-six years, the original script for War of the Worlds<\/em> is still chilling and beautifully written,” he said. ‘We are tremendously honored to have such an extraordinary company of actors performing it live on stage. And as a lifelong Star Trek<\/em> fan, I’m speechless. This is going to be an amazing night for sci-fi fans!’<\/p>\n “Following the performance, audience members can attend a post-show party and bid on seven exclusive War of the Worlds<\/em> posters designed specifically for this event by some of LA’s hottest comic book and sci-fi artists.<\/p>\n “Tickets for the event are currently available for donors contributing to the festival at the Shooting Star<\/em> level or higher and includes an after-party with the cast.
