I&#8217;m all over it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Frakes has also made &#8220;first contact&#8221; with <strong>J.J. Abrams<\/strong> and his agent has contacted<em> Paramount Pictures<\/em>. &#8220;I would love that job,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I say, unabashedly, I&#8217;d be great at it and would love to do it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The actor knows that the chances of him directing <em>Star Trek 3<\/em> are slim though. &#8220;I&#8217;m trying to keep the lid on how excited I am about the possibility, knowing it&#8217;s such a long shot.
