Clarke<\/strong> novel.<\/p>\n<p><em>Childhood&#8217;s End<\/em> will be a six-hour miniseries.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Written by <strong>Matthew Graham<\/strong>, <em>Childhood&#8217;s End<\/em> &#8220;follows the peaceful alien invasion of Earth by the mysterious &#8216;Overlords,&#8217; whose arrival begins decades of apparent utopia under indirect alien rule, at the cost of human identity and culture.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Meaney will take on the role of Wainwright, a &#8220;powerful, confident owner of a major news organization.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Others in the cast include C<strong>harlotte Nicdao, Julian McMahon, Daisy Betts, Mike Vogel, Charles Dance, Ashley Zuckerman, Osy Ikhile<\/strong>, and <strong>Yael Stone<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Childhood&#8217;s End<\/em> is set to debut this year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Colm Meaney has been cast in a SyFy miniseries based on an Arthur C.
