{"id":38930,"date":"2015-01-15T10:35:40","date_gmt":"2015-01-15T18:35:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=38930"},"modified":"2015-01-15T10:35:40","modified_gmt":"2015-01-15T18:35:40","slug":"stewart-appearance-on-conan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2015\/01\/stewart-appearance-on-conan\/","title":{"rendered":"Stewart Appearance On Conan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-38933\" alt=\"StewartConan011515\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/StewartConan011515.gif\" width=\"580\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Last night, <strong>Sir Patrick Stewart<\/strong> appeared on <em>Conan<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the topics covered included Stewart receiving his knighthood, debunking a pizza eating rumor, and obscene gestures in America vs. in the UK.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Getting the knighthood was &#8220;a big deal for me because it was totally unexpected,&#8221; said Stewart. &#8220;It almost didn&#8217;t happen because it came, the invitation to accept or not this honor, came in a brown envelope and it was put into a plastic shopping bag \u2014 with a whole lot of other mail \u2014 and when I arrived at my destination that weekend, I put it in the closet and found it ten days later.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"http:\/\/teamcoco.com\/embed\/v\/87167#playlist=x;eyJ0eXBlIjoicmVsYXRlZCIsImlkIjo4NzE2N30\" height=\"360\" width=\"640\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Stewart also set straight the &#8220;never had pizza before&#8221; rumor, which came about after he posted a picture on <em>Twitter<\/em> last year showing the actor eating a slice. &#8220;There was a big misunderstanding about it,&#8221; said Stewart. &#8220;Of course I&#8217;ve had pizza but that was my first slice. I had never gone into a restaurant before and asked for a slice. I didn&#8217;t know such a thing existed.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"http:\/\/teamcoco.com\/embed\/v\/87168#playlist=x;eyJ0eXBlIjoicmVsYXRlZCIsImlkIjo4NzE2OH0\" height=\"360\" width=\"640\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In the last clip, Stewart learned that Americans economize when it comes to their obscene gestures. He had held up his first two fingers backward to say &#8220;two,&#8221; and apologized because he realized that he had made what would be an obscene gesture in the UK.
