{"id":39557,"date":"2015-02-18T08:36:09","date_gmt":"2015-02-18T16:36:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=39557"},"modified":"2015-02-18T08:36:09","modified_gmt":"2015-02-18T16:36:09","slug":"new-trek-diamond-select-toys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2015\/02\/new-trek-diamond-select-toys\/","title":{"rendered":"New Trek Diamond Select Toys"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-39560\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/DSTShip021815.gif\" alt=\"DSTShip021815\" width=\"580\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For fans of <em>Diamond Select Toys<\/em>&#8216; <em>Star Trek<\/em> range of electronic starship models, several new ships will be coming soon.<\/p>\n<p>The ships could be seen at the<em> Toy Fair<\/em> last weekend.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-39563\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/DST-2-021815.gif\" alt=\"DST-2-021815\" width=\"580\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The two ships include a re-issue of the Enterprise NX-01, which first debuted back in 2002, and a new original series Romulan Bird of Prey.<\/p>\n<p>The Enterprise NX-01 has had &#8220;a much needed upgrade to the paint job, with a more subtle finish on the aztecing, and some of the previously missing details now filled in.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In addition to their electronic ships, <em>Diamond Select Toys<\/em> also had some props to show fans, including the first ever <em>The Next Generation<\/em> phaser, and phasers from <em>Star Trek III: The Search for Spock<\/em> including a variant phaser.
