{"id":40636,"date":"2015-05-07T12:09:49","date_gmt":"2015-05-07T19:09:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=40636"},"modified":"2015-05-07T12:09:49","modified_gmt":"2015-05-07T19:09:49","slug":"star-trek-captain-pike-kickstarter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2015\/05\/star-trek-captain-pike-kickstarter\/","title":{"rendered":"Star Trek: Captain Pike Kickstarter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-40637\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/STCP-050715.gif\" alt=\"STCP-050715\" width=\"580\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A new <em>Kickstarter<\/em> seeks to raise funds for a <em>Star Trek: Captain Pike<\/em> pilot.<\/p>\n<p>The forty-five minute pilot would be the prequel to a feature length film called <em>Encounter at Rigel.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><em>Star Trek: Captain Pike<\/em> will tell the story of Captain Pike &#8220;when he first takes command of the Enterprise and his first mission aboard her.&#8221; Those involved with the <em>Star Trek: Captain Pike Kickstarter<\/em> will then submit the pilot to <em>CBS<\/em> &#8220;for consideration as an ongoing cable or webseries.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Actors who will be involved with the project include Trek veterans <strong>Dwight Schultz, Linda Park, Robert Picardo, Chase Masterson, Sean Kenney, Ray Wise<\/strong>, and <strong>Bruce Davidson. Jorge Pallo<\/strong> will also be involved in the project.<\/p>\n<p>The goal for the <em>Kickstarter<\/em> is to raise $112,000, and the Kickstarter will run through June 5.
