In what has been a bad year for fans of the original series, comes word that yet another Star Trek<\/em> actor has had a health crisis.<\/p>\n

Nichelle Nichols<\/strong>, Star Trek<\/em>‘s Lieutenant Uhura, has suffered a mild stroke.<\/p>\n

The word that Nichols, aged 82, suffered the stroke came today on her official Facebook<\/em> page. “Last night while at her home in L.A., Nichelle Nichols suffered from a mild stroke,” said Zach McGinnis<\/strong> of Galactic Productions, LLC, who represents Nichols. “She is currently undergoing testing to determine how severe the stroke was. Please keep her in your thoughts.”<\/p>\n

Currently she is awake, eating, in good spirits and able to have full conversations.
