The Perth Mint<\/em> of Australia has just released a set of coins featuring Deep Space Nine.<\/em><\/p>\n This follows the release of coins for the original series and for The Next Generation.<\/em><\/p>\n The 99.9% pure silver coins feature Captain Benjamin Sisko, and the Deep Space Nine station.<\/p>\n The coins are sold individually (5,000 each) or as a set of two (1,500). As with the other two sets of coins, expect these to sell out quickly.<\/p>\n “Appearing on the reverse of the 2015 Captain Benjamin Sisko Silver Proof Coin is an image of actor Avery Brooks<\/strong> who portrayed the commander. Inscriptions include the mint mark of P, CAPTAIN BENJAMIN SISKO, 1 OZ 999 SILVER, and TM & \u00a9 2014 CBS. ARR.”<\/p>\n “Depicted on the second coin is Deep Space Nine set against a colorized space background. Inscribed around the station are the mint mark of P, STAR TREK, DEEP SPACE 9 as well as DEEP SPACE NINE, 1 OZ 999 SILVER, and TM & \u00a9 2014 CBS. ARR.”<\/p>\n “Each obverse offers a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II<\/strong>. Inscriptions include QUEEN ELIZABETH II, 1 DOLLAR, 2015 and TUVALU. Each is struck as legal tender of Tuvalu.”<\/p>\n The art for the coins was created by Ian Rank-Broadley<\/strong>, and Jennifer McKenna<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The coins sell for $78.50 US individually, or for $157 for the two-coin set.
