{"id":41411,"date":"2015-08-11T09:50:43","date_gmt":"2015-08-11T16:50:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=41411"},"modified":"2015-08-11T09:50:43","modified_gmt":"2015-08-11T16:50:43","slug":"evans-passes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2015\/08\/evans-passes\/","title":{"rendered":"Evans Passes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Terrence Evans<\/strong>, best known to <em>Star Trek<\/em> fans for his roles in <em>Star Trek: Deep Space Nine <\/em>and<em> Star Trek: Voyager<\/em>, is dead at the age of eighty-one.<\/p>\n<p>Evans&#8217; manager <strong>Phil Brock<\/strong> confirmed the news of his death, releasing a statement praising the actor.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Terrence was a consummate actor who was passionate about his art and about giving to others,&#8221; said Brock. &#8220;He projected his strength and humanity into his character portrayals.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Evans was seen in three Trek episodes. On <em>Deep Space Nine<\/em>, he played mute farmhand Baltrim (<em>Progress<\/em>) and Proka Midgal (<em>Cardassians<\/em>). On <em>Voyager<\/em>, Evans appeared as Ambassador Treen in <em>Nemesis<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Born in 1934, Evans began his career in the 1970s, and had guest roles on a number of popular television series.
