{"id":41953,"date":"2015-10-16T09:10:18","date_gmt":"2015-10-16T16:10:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=41953"},"modified":"2015-10-16T09:10:18","modified_gmt":"2015-10-16T16:10:18","slug":"hyde-passes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2015\/10\/hyde-passes\/","title":{"rendered":"Hyde Passes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Bruce Hyde<\/strong>, best-known to original series fans as Kevin Riley, has died at the age of seventy-four.<\/p>\n<p>The cause of death was throat cancer.<\/p>\n<p>According to his wife <strong>Susan Saetre<\/strong>, Hyde&#8217;s last year was &#8220;awesome,&#8221; including a retirement party that he &#8220;jokingly called a &#8216;living wake,&#8221; and time with his loved ones. &#8220;He was able to say what he needed to say,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>His final days were spent at <em>Quiet Oaks Hospice House<\/em>.
