Star Trek<\/em> will be back on TV in January 2017!<\/p>\n

Alex Kurtzman<\/strong> is developing a new Star Trek<\/em> series with CBS Television Studios.<\/em><\/p>\n

A special preview of the new Trek series will debut on the CBS Television Network<\/em>, and then the premiere episode and other first-run episodes will be shown in the U.S. on CBS All Access<\/em>, CBS<\/em>‘s on-demand and live-streaming service.<\/p>\n

“The new program will be the first original series developed specifically for U.S. audiences for CBS All Access<\/em>, a cross-platform streaming service that brings viewers thousands of episodes from CBS<\/em>‘s current and past seasons on demand, plus the ability to stream their local CBS Television<\/em> station live for $5.99 per month. CBS All Access<\/em> already offers every episode of all previous Star Trek<\/em> television series.<\/p>\n

The new show will also be “concurrently for television and multiple platforms around the world by CBS Studios International<\/em>.”<\/p>\n

“The brand-new Star Trek<\/em> will introduce new characters seeking imaginative new worlds and new civilizations, while exploring the dramatic contemporary themes that have been a signature of the franchise since its inception in 1966.”<\/p>\n

Kurtzman and Heather Kadin<\/strong> will be executive producers, and the show will be produced by CBS Television Studios<\/em> in association with Kurtzman’s Secret Hideout<\/em>.<\/p>\n
