{"id":42899,"date":"2016-03-10T10:28:11","date_gmt":"2016-03-10T18:28:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=42899"},"modified":"2016-03-10T10:28:11","modified_gmt":"2016-03-10T18:28:11","slug":"ryan-no-bimbos-for-me","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2016\/03\/ryan-no-bimbos-for-me\/","title":{"rendered":"Ryan: No Bimbos For Me"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Star Trek: Voyager<\/em>&#8216;s <strong>Jeri Ryan<\/strong> may play women with a past, but she&#8217;s definitely not a fan of &#8220;bimbos.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ryan is currently playing a woman who was a former stripper\/hooker\/porn star on <em>Amazon<\/em>&#8216;s <em>Bosch<\/em> series.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;She&#8217;s got quite a colorful past,&#8221; said Ryan, &#8220;and I think she gets [Detective] Bosch a little bit unbalanced. He&#8217;s not entirely sure what her real motives are. It takes him a while to figure out, I think, what&#8217;s really going on with her.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>While playing a sexual woman is not a problem, playing a brainless woman would be for Ryan. &#8220;I don&#8217;t have any interest in playing a bimbo,&#8221; she said. &#8220;I don&#8217;t have any interest in playing a character that&#8217;s completely objectified, and I&#8217;ve been very lucky in my career that I haven&#8217;t had to.
