{"id":42929,"date":"2016-03-14T15:20:09","date_gmt":"2016-03-14T22:20:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trektoday.com\/content\/?p=42929"},"modified":"2016-03-14T15:20:09","modified_gmt":"2016-03-14T22:20:09","slug":"paramountcbs-amended-complaint-against-axanar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trektoday.com\/content\/2016\/03\/paramountcbs-amended-complaint-against-axanar\/","title":{"rendered":"Paramount\/CBS Amended Complaint Against Axanar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The details of the amended complaint in the lawsuit by<em> Paramount <\/em>and<em> CBS<\/em> against the fan-film <em>Axanar<\/em> have been made public in a forty-eight page document.<\/p>\n<p>Specifics were given as to what copyright infringements were performed by <em>Axanar<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the alleged infringements found in the document include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Garth of Izar<\/li>\n<li>Klingons (looks, personalities, weapons, ships, language, homeworld)<\/li>\n<li>Vulcans and Vulcan<\/li>\n<li>Battle of Axanar<\/li>\n<li>The Federation<\/li>\n<li>Beaming Up<\/li>\n<li>USS Enterprise<\/li>\n<li>spacedocks<\/li>\n<li>Soval<\/li>\n<li>Robau<\/li>\n<li>John Gill<\/li>\n<li>Andorians<\/li>\n<li>Tellarites<\/li>\n<li>Romulans<\/li>\n<li>costumes<\/li>\n<li>UFP logo<\/li>\n<li>weapons<\/li>\n<li>dilithium crystals<\/li>\n<li>Sarek<\/li>\n<li>Captain Robert April<\/li>\n<li>Chang<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Not mentioned: Former Trek actors who took part in <em>Axanar<\/em> (<strong>Gary Graham, J.G. A tweet by <em>Star Trek Beyond<\/em> Director <strong>Justin Lin<\/strong> was posted today, in response to the <em>Hollywood Reporter<\/em> article on the lawsuit. &#8220;This is getting ridiculous,&#8221; said Lin. &#8220;I support the fans.
