The Star Trek: The Starfleet Academy Experience<\/em> will begin its North American tour on May 13 in Ottawa, Canada.<\/p>\n

During this “Starfleet Academy Experience<\/em>,” the “Canada Aviation and Space Museum<\/em> will be transformed into a veritable cadet training ground,” and “cadets” will “experience a career day at the Academy.”<\/p>\n

“Recruits, in an immersive environment, can participate in several activities meant to test their potential to train for careers as Medical Officers, Science Officers, Communications specialists, and even Commanders.<\/p>\n

“The actual science behind Star Trek<\/em>‘s science fiction will enhance the experience, as participants learn about a variety of emerging technologies, including a functional tricorder, the latest experiments with phasers and teleporters, and also NASA\u2019s warp drive theory.”<\/p>\n

“We are very proud to be developing this wonderful exhibition with our partners EMS<\/em> and CBS Consumer Products<\/em>,” said Alex Benay<\/strong>, President and CEO of the Canada Science and Technology Museums Corporation<\/em>. “We are certain it will prove to be a ‘must-see’ for the 2016 summer tourists and locals alike, as well as a wonderful complement to the Canada Aviation and Space Museum<\/em>‘s existing visitor experiences and offerings on aviation and space travel.”<\/p>\n

The Starfleet Academy Experience<\/em> should take “cadets” about an hour to complete.<\/p>\n

Star Trek: The Starfleet Academy Experience<\/em> will run through September 5, 2016 in Ottawa. It will then move to the Telus Spark Science Center<\/em> in Calgary, Canada.<\/p>\n
